The beautiful patterns on the Paperblanks Terrene A4+ Notebook are found on the traditional carpets of the Moldavian people. The earliest known Moldovan rugs date back to the late 18th century, although archaeological finds suggest that the craft tradition dates back to the 14th- and 15th-century weaving mills of the Moldovan countryside.

Over the centuries, these beautiful, handmade rugs have been passed down from generation to generation, keeping this artistic tradition alive even with the advent of modern technology. This particular design comes from contemporary carpet manufacturer, Floare Carpet, which still makes their carpets in the traditional way.
