Jimmy Nelson Between The Sea & The Sky Hardcover

In his new book Between the Sea and the Sky Jimmy Nelson depicts 20 communities in traditional dress and the environment that formed them, in the Netherlands. The result reveals a key part of Dutch identity that has almost completely disappeared into oblivion.
Nelson seized the Covid pandemic to portray the Netherlands in a way that has not been done before. Having nowhere to go during the lockdowns, he began to photograph communities in costume and the environment that shaped them - from Axel in Zeeland to Hindeloopen in Friesland and from Katwijk to Rijssen. An immersion in the culture of his adopted homeland, Between the Sea and the Sky is also Jimmy Nelson's most personal book to date.
